Pulmonary Medicine

The Pulmonary Department provides diagnosis and treatment for lung-related diseases. The pulmonary lab exams include tests for breathing capability at rest and with exercise, as well as testing for abnormalities of sleep. When needed, bronchoscopy is performed, allowing a direct look at the airways. Based on these studies, a program of lung treatment or rehabilitation is prescribed.

The pulmonary specialist also provides consultation for patients in Intensive Care, particularly those requiring ventilators or special monitoring.
